Ghana international Thomas Partey has pleaded not guilty to two new allegations of rape during a court appearance in Southwark Crown Court.

‎The alleged incidents are reported to have taken place on a single day in December 2020. The latest charges bring the total number of allegations against the midfielder to seven counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.

‎During proceedings, Partey entered formal not guilty pleas, maintaining his position as the case continues through the legal system.

‎His defence lawyer, Jenny Wiltshire, reiterated his stance in a statement, saying: “Thomas Partey continues to deny all charges against him. He has cooperated with the police throughout.”

‎She added that no further comment would be made due to the ongoing legal process.

‎The case remains active, and further hearings are expected as the court examines the allegations.

‎Under UK law, defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty, and proceedings will continue as evidence is presented and tested in court.
