Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey has reaffirmed his love for Arsenal but emphasized that his family’s well-being will take precedence in any decision about his future.

In an interview with Ghana’s TV3, the 31-year-old, whose contract with Arsenal expires in June, reflected on how his priorities have evolved with time.

"When you are young, you are just anywhere," Partey said. "But now we are not getting younger. You think about your family, where they will be happy, and where no one will disturb them."

While Partey admitted he's still passionate about the game and remains a fan of the Gunners, he stressed that football decisions now involve more than just professional ambition. “I just want to enjoy football,” he noted. “I can’t decide anything. I leave it to my agent and the club.”

After recovering from injury setbacks, Partey featured regularly under Mikel Arteta last season, playing a key role in Arsenal’s campaign. However, with his contract winding down, speculation continues to swirl around whether he’ll stay at the Emirates or seek a fresh challenge elsewhere.

Regardless of what lies ahead, Partey’s message is clear: football may be his profession, but family comes first.
