Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey believes it's premature to dismiss the club's chances in the 2024/25 Premier League title race, despite a challenging stretch that has seen them lose two of their last three league matches, including a recent defeat to Newcastle at St. James’ Park.
This loss has left Mikel Arteta's squad in fifth place in the league standings with 18 points, trailing leaders Liverpool by seven.
Acknowledging the current difficulties, Partey emphasized the long nature of the season and the team's determination to regain their winning form.
"The season is long. We want to get back to winning ways, try to win our games, and fight forward," he stated following the match against Newcastle.
Arsenal faces a crucial week ahead, with a Champions League clash against Inter Milan on Wednesday, followed by a league fixture against Chelsea on Sunday.
Partey sees these upcoming games as key opportunities for the team to turn their fortunes around.
“I think it's the best moment to turn things around, to show that we are not just any team—we are Arsenal—and we can do everything possible that is expected of us,” he asserted, highlighting the team's resilience and ambition to prove themselves.
