Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey is on the brink of extending his stay at Arsenal, with a new contract expected to be signed in the coming days.

Partey’s current deal with the Premier League side is set to expire on June 30, following his arrival from Atletico Madrid in 2020 on a five-year contract.

Despite previous injury concerns, the 2024/25 season marked a significant turnaround for the 31-year-old, who delivered consistently strong performances throughout the campaign.

The Black Stars midfielder featured in 51 matches across all competitions—his highest appearance tally in a single season for the Gunners—scoring four goals and helping Arsenal finish second in the Premier League and reach the UEFA Champions League semifinals.

Impressed by Partey's form and fitness, manager Mikel Arteta has approved the midfielder's contract renewal, which is now being finalized.

Since joining Arsenal, Partey has made 188 appearances, scoring six goals and providing 12 assists. His anticipated contract extension will see him remain a key figure in Arteta’s plans as the Gunners aim to build on a strong season.
