Hearts of Oak's Executive Board Chairman, Togbe Afede XIV, has pledged the club’s dedication to assembling the best football squad in Ghana.
His remarks came following the official handover of the club’s newly built Commercial Centre.
After narrowly avoiding relegation last season with a 14th-place finish, Togbe Afede XIV emphasized the club’s commitment to strengthening both its squad and infrastructure.
He acknowledged the challenges in player acquisition but assured that efforts are ongoing to enhance the team’s capabilities.
“Management is committed, and the board is committed to assembling the best squad possible. Sometimes it takes time because some constraints are beyond your control,” said Togbe Afede XIV.
“You may want a player who is not available… To ensure that professionally, we are solid, management-wise we are solid, and in terms of players, we are solid.”
Hearts of Oak, known for their rich history and passionate fanbase, are focused on building strength across all aspects of the club.
Togbe Afede XIV highlighted the importance of creating a well-rounded and competitive team.
The 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season will begin with Hearts of Oak facing Basake Holy Stars at home. Fans are hopeful that the club’s commitment to improvement will lead to a successful campaign.
