Torino and Genoa have opened negotiations on a potential swap deal involving Ghanaian international Afriyie Acquah and Uruguay attacking midfielder Diego Sebastián Laxalt Suárez, Ghanaguardian.com can exclusively reveal.

Genoa have been long-time admirers of  Afriyie Acquah and after failing to secure his services last summer they are back with a player exchange deal this January window in a bid to land their target.

Ghanaguardian.com gathers that there is set to be a meeting between the Sporting directors of both clubs during the week to try and find an agreement for the transfers.

According to Italian media outlet Tuttosport, an agreement between both parties seems far away for now but both sides are increasingly confident by the day that a deal can be struck soon.

The Black Stars midfielder has registered only a handful of  Serie A appearance for Torino in the ongoing ltalian top-flight campaign.
