There were massive Joy and fun at the Bosphorus Resturant, Josiah Tongaris Street, Labone – Accra over the weekend when members of leading Facebook group ‘Tried & True’ stormed the venue in their numbers to mark a colourful 1st anniversary.

The anniversary party was climaxed with a buffet dinner from 5 pm to the midnight which was graced by the members both men and women in their beautiful designers and customized dresses.

The group was created last year, June, by Mrs. Sandra Tetteh-Myles, a Ghanaian-UK base citizen with over 45,000 members. It is made up of professionals from different working fields with the will to help the poor people in need.

The event brought together members who haven’t met each other since the group was created, and getting to know themselves.

They dinned and drank together, as well as displaying their dancing skills at the tune of kinds of music played as they cut the anniversary cake.

The group since its inception has done a lot to outsiders as well as donating several items to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital Children’s Block and the Rising Star Orphanage at Dodowa in the Kpone Katamanso Municipality respectively.

They provide emotional and practical support and information and advice, where necessary, to all members on facebook.

They empower and encourage members improving coping skills and sense of adjustment in society, as well as rendering support. They do not judge, blame or criticize their members.

They also encourage, motivate, inspire, educate and entertain each other through business, career, ethics, parenting, health, relationships and all the things that contribute to one's progress in our daily lives.
