Ghana U23 team led by coach Ibrahim Tanko received a morale boost from Ghana Ambassador to Egypt, Dr Winfred Nii Okai Hammond as they get set for their semi-final game against Ivory Coast at the Cairo International Stadium on Tuesday.

The West African derby, scheduled for 16:00 GMT ( 4pm in Ghana), will unfold at the Cairo stadium.

On Sunday, top officials of the Ghana team,including head of management Frederick Acheampong visited the residence of the Ghana ambassador to Egypt after they were invited for a dinner.

“On behalf of Ghana Government, I welcome you here and wish you a successful outing in the semi-finals against Cote d'Ivoire."

"I believe you will all make us proud by beating Cote d’Ivoire to get the Olympic ticket and also play in the finals." His excellence said.

The Ghana U23 contingent were gifted with an undisclosed amount as a form of motivation to win the next game on Tuesday and #BringBackTheLove.
