Inter Milan left-back Kwadwo Asamoah says his outfit are optimistic of victory against Tottenham Hotspurs at the Wembley Stadium in the UEFA Champions on Wednesday.

The two teams are set to fight for all three points to boost their chances of reaching the next stage of the competition in what will be their penultimate Group B fixture.

Barcelona have already book their place in the round 16 of Europe's elite tournament and the outcome of Wednesday’s fixture will prove crucial.

Speaking at a pre-match conference, the 29-year-old says his outfit are confident of cliniching a victory at the Lilywhites own backyard.

“We are here to play our own game and to bring back the win,” Asamoah said at a pre-match conference on Tuesday.

“I know that it won’t be easy. However, with a winning mentality, we know that we can get a good result."

“I’ve already played here and I know what it’s like taking on a team like Tottenham."

“We’ve grown a lot as a team since the first game, which for many players was their first in the Champions League."

“We now have more confidence in our abilities. Personally, I have also grown in confidence after playing more often.”

Currently, the Italian side are second on the table, three points below leaders Barcelona and three points above third-placed Tottenham while Dutch side PS Eindhoven, sit bottom of the table.

He joined the Nerazzurri in the summer on three-year deal and is expected to maintain his place in coach Luciano Spalletti’s XI for Wednesday’s game, having started each of the four last matches.
