Chelsea Football club subjected Manchester United to a ridiculing 4:0 thrashing to move fourth place on the English Premier League table.

The home side took the lead under one minute via a well finished Pedro effort to set the Blues enroute to a humiliating return for former manager Jose Mourinho.

The Blues grabbed the game by the neck in the first half with two goals from Pedro and English defender Gary Cahill the latter's goal coming in the 21st minute.

While Manchester United won a fair share of possession in the first half,the home side which have recently reverted to Antonio Conte's favourite 3-back formation went into the dressing room at the interval with three points almost in the bag.

Jose Mourinho's introduction of former Chelsea player Juan Mata have the visitors a boost which saw them improve upon a lackluster first half display.
The Spaniards escapades in the middle of the park was however not enough as Chelsea would soon add to their woes.

Belgium international had just the perfect touch to curl the ball around David de Gea to take the game beyond reach of the Red Devils within 62 minutes.

The icing on the cake for the London-based club was a fine near solo effort by Ngolo Kante who seemed to make mockery of United's defense before slotting in a well struck finisher to make it 4:0 for Chelsea in 70 minutes.
