Portuguese club USC Paredes have officially parted ways with Ghanaian midfielder Joseph Amoah, following the conclusion of the 2024/25 Campeonato de Portugal season.
The 30-year-old playmaker, whose contract ends on June 30 will not be extending his stay despite playing a key role in the club’s promotion to Liga 2.
Amoah featured in 22 matches, scoring one goal in a solid campaign that helped secure the club’s ascent.
Amoah’s departure comes as part of a post-season reshuffle that also sees Thiago Garzon and Miguel Botas leaving the newly promoted side.
A graduate of West African Football Academy (WAFA), Amoah has spent the bulk of his professional career in Portugal, with previous spells at Vitória Guimarães, Leiria, and Fafe.
His technical skills, experience, and understanding of the Portuguese game make him an attractive option on the free agent market.
Sources suggest Amoah is likely to remain in Portugal, with interest reportedly brewing from several Liga 2 and Campeonato sides looking to add experienced midfield depth.
As he prepares for his next chapter, Amoah leaves Paredes on a high, having helped write a significant page in the club’s history.
