Danish-born midfielder of Ghanaian descent Nikolas Nartey has rejoined his teammates after a long injury lay off which kept him out the last three months.

On Monday, the player took part in a group running session with the rest of the squad at his club's training grounds.

The central  midfielder last played competitive football for Stuttgart on 24th October,2021 against Union Berlin where he lasted 55 minutes.

For three months now he has been out of action for his German Bundesliga side and only returned to training on Monday.

VfB Stuttgart coach Pellegrino Matarazzo only at the end of last week announce that Nartey needed "a little more time" for the comeback.

Nikolas Nartey was born in Denmark to a Ghanaian father and a Danish mother and is yet to be capped by either his country of birth or that of his father.

He has played for Denmark at the U-16, U-17, U-18, U-19 and U-21 level but is yet to earn a senior team call up.
