Nigerian football star Victor Osimhen extended a heartfelt gesture to Neslihan Demir, a Turkish fan and artist, who crafted a remarkable handwoven effigy of him that gained viral attention for its striking resemblance and detail.
Moved by the tribute, Osimhen invited Demir to meet him during Galatasaray’s league title celebrations, where he personally thanked her for honoring his journey and achievements in European football.
In appreciation, Osimhen also presented her with a signed Galatasaray jersey, underscoring the emotional and cultural impact of her work.
The effigy became symbolic of Osimhen’s remarkable season at Galatasaray, where the Napoli loanee fired the club to a domestic double — winning both the Turkish Süper Lig and the Turkish Cup, while scoring a record 36 goals across all competitions.
Despite his stellar performances, Osimhen's future remains uncertain. Chelsea, Manchester United, and clubs in the Saudi Pro League have shown interest, while Galatasaray remains determined to attempt an ambitious move to retain their star striker.
