Ghana’s former High Commissioner to the UK, Victor Smith has stated that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is not prepared for the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections.

The former spokesperson of former President Jerry John Rawlings however added that the party is preparing hard towards winning the elections.

According to him, the party has one-and-a-half years more to get fully prepared for the elections hence there’ll be be need to worry.

Speaking in an interview with Accra FM on Monday, 17 June 2019, Mr Smith said: “I won’t say we are ready; we are one-and-a-half years to the elections and I won’t say we are fully ready but we are working hard toward it.”

He further stated that Ghanaians are disappointed in the Akufo-Addo administration’s bad policies.

“The condition of living for Ghanaians right now is not the best for them. Certain policies introduced are interfering with their lives.”
