American comedian and actor, Steve Harvey has touched down in Ghana with his family for a vacation.

The comedian in June announced on his programme 'The Steve Harvey Show' that he will be visiting Ghana sometime this year.

Steve and his wife, Marjorie, marked their 12-year wedding anniversary in June and to that effect, the Harvey's have set on a family trip across the world, which saw them in Croatia and now Ghana.

Their visit coincide with Ghana's year of return , an initiative aimed at marking 400 years since the first black slaves landed in Jamestown Virginia is taking off like fire.

Already, the initiative that urges Africans in the diaspora to come back home, has seen an array of celebrities make their way into Ghana to explore, learn and appreciate their roots.

They were met by the Ghana Year Of Return team along with the Tourism ministry, led by the Minister, Hon. Barbara Gyasi, at the W.E.B. DuBois Centre in Cantonements, Accra.
