Investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has come out with a new project about the works of Accra City Guards popularly referred to us 'Abayie'.

In an investigative piece titled: Aba-yee: Secrets of the corrupt city guards Anas claims it took six months to come up with the undercover piece which he has shared trailers of the said piece on his timeline.

It chronicles these city guards taking bribes from traders and drivers without giving them receipts.

He posted on his Social media handle : For over 6 months, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and the Tiger Eye team worked as drivers and traders in Accra's Central Business District. They monitored the activities of City Guards and many who were engaged in cases of abuse of power and the taking of bribes from some hawkers and drivers who didn't have permits.
These guards did not issue receipts, nor did they take the perpetrators through any official procedures. They pocketed the monies. What else did they do?"
