Former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has eulogized his close friend Theophilus Tagoe known in musical circles as Castro who disappeared exactly some seven years ago on a holiday cruise in Ada.

The musician, Asamoah Gyan and some friends decided to go to Ada Foah on a holiday cruise but the renowned musician and a female friend Janet Bandu went for a jet ski ride and never returned on 6th June 2014.

A frantic search by officials of the beach, fisher folks and security men from the marine division of the Ghana Police Service on the waters of Ada proved futile as they were unable to recover the bodies of the two persons till date.

Legally the pair Castro and her female friend Janet Bandu were declared dead on Tuesday 6th July,2021 as they have been missing for the last seven years.

Several musicians paid tribute to their former colleague with the likes of Kwaw Kesse, Kofi Kinata, Samini and a host of others paying tribute to their former colleague.

Asamoah Gyan who was with the musician on the trip with other friends when the sad incident occurred is seen in a video posted on social media in solemn mood while singing the song of his departed friend Castro Under Fire.

He captioned his video: "I woke this morning and I felt like singing this song 🙏🙏🙏🙏. Hmmmmmmmm. @castrounderfire"

Father of missing Castro, Mr Eshun has on several occasions revealed that he will never accept that his son is dead.
