Ghana's Black Meteors fought back from a goal down to claim a share of the spoils in their opening game against Cameroon at the Cairo International stadium.

It was a game of two halves with the Cameroonians getting the bulk of good goal scoring opportunities in the game.

The game was certainly crying out for a goal and Bayern Munich wonder kid Franck Evina on loan at third tier German side KFC Uerdingen  who come into this tournament with a ballooning reputation duly obliged curling home a delicious free kick into the top right corner beyong the despairing dive of goal keeper Osei Kwame in post.

The Black Meteors huffed and puffed for the equalizer and it arrived after Habib Mohammed slotted home a long pass over the top of the Cameroonian defence.

Despite protestation from the Camerooninas for offside the goal stood and Ghana took a point from their opener while group opponents Egypt beat Mali one nil in the earlier game .

Matches in Group B will start on Saturday with some juicy fixture coming up.
