CAF have announced the nominees for the Goal of match-day 5 with Zambia's Nkana Egypt's Zamalek dominating the list
Zamalek's Youssef Obama and Ferjani Sassi’s goals against God Mahia in the CAF Confederations Cup were chosen as the first and second respectively.
Zamalek thrashed Gor Mahia 4-0 in match-day 5 of the tournament, to top their group. With eight points they are one above second-placed Petro Luanda. They will face NA Hussein Dey on Sunday March 17th at the Stade du 20 Août.
The Whites’ defender Mahmoud Alaa opened the scoring just 12 minutes into the game. Obama then put his name on the scoresheet 14 minutes later. Tunisia’s Ferjani Sassi then scored his side’s third. Finally Omar El-Said scored their final goal.
