Coach Ibrahim Tanko has called for the support of Ghanaians as his team embark on a trip to Egypt to play in the African U-23 Afcon.

The Black Meteors of Ghana will on Monday depart for Egypt where they will play in the Caf Afcon U-23 nations cup that will start on on the 8-22 November 2019.

Ghana has been placed in group A alongside host nation Egypt, Mali and Cameroon.

Coach Ibrahim Tanko on Friday named his 21 man squad for the tournament with predominantly foreign based players dominating the roster.

Ghana will open the tournament with a match against Cameroon on the opening day before facing host nation Egypt three days later before playing Mali 14th November.

The Black Meteor will hope to be a part of the first three nations that will qualify for the Olympic games in Tokyo 2020.
