A disgruntled member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Kwame Asare Obeng, nicknamed A Plus, has fumed with indignation over what he says is a disappointment on the part of the President, Nana AKufo-Addo, and calling the citizenry to show their resentment for a sense of unjust treatment from the current administration.

Speaking on Peace FM, monitored by Ghanaguardian.com, A Plus said he was not only angry because the NPP government terminated his contract for criticising them, but also for the fact that they terminated the appointment of DR. Felix Kwaku Gamesu Anyah as the acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. He said patients are currently queued up in ambulances and in cars at the Accident and Emergency (A&E) Centre of the country's biggest health facility due to ‘no bed’ syndrome.

"Anyone who says I'm bitter is very observant, I'm extremely bitter. Apart from the fact that they terminated my contract for criticising them, I'm also bitter because they sacked Dr Anyah. All of us know the current situation at Korle Bu, people are dying every now and then. Some patients don't even have ambulances and they are lying in their cars because there're no beds to put them on", he said.

A plus claimed that Dr. Anyah who did virtually everything in his power to make things look beautiful at the Korle Bu hospital was sacked because he did not agree to the government's corrupt practices of handling things at the facility.

"Dr. Anyah was not taking salary and allowances, he didn't accept government bungalow and cars, he used his money to fix the oxygen plant which had broken down for about 3 years ..but because he refused to give in to their corrupt practices, they found fault with him and eventually sacked him, It is one of the reasons why I'm very angry with this government, why should they sack Dr. Anyah?", he rhetorically quizzed.

He described both the NPP and opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) as 'pretenders' who have all these years done absolutely nothing with regards to fighting corruption in the country.

"Whenever NPP and NDC are in power, the pretend like they want to help this country. Why is the NPP going after the Auditor General who has been able to force people who have illegally taken money from the state coffers to return it. Why are they going after him? it means that the government we vigorously campaigned for, is not interested in fighting corruption", A Plus fumed.

He also intimidated that the Akufo-Addo led government is now doing worse off after they tagged the erstwhile Mahama administration as 'incompetent'.
