The Black Meteors of Ghana failed to beat the Amagluglu of South Africa in the Afcon U-23 tournament in Egypt and missing out on the chance to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games.

In a match which had the sole automatic ticket up for grabs, the South Africans took the lead in the first half.

After 90 minutes the match ended 2-2 before the South Africans won it 6-5 on penalties.

After goalkeeper Kwame Baah's save Edward Sarpong had just one task to score to grab the elusive Olympic ticket for Ghana but as if his dreads had blinded him he skied the ball into the stands but the South Africans scored and they earn the sole ticket to Tokyo next year.
