The Black Stars of Ghana defeated South Africa by two goals to nil at a packed Cape Coast stadium.

Ghana took the lead through a Thomas Teye Partey carpet shot from about 20 yards that ferociously crept into the post in the 36th minute after some lousy defending from the away side for the 1st goal.

The teams went into the break with Ghana in the ascendancy having taking the lead just on the stroke of half time.

The first 30 minutes of the game was a bit scrappy from both sides with a lot of misplaced passes.

Ghana sealed off the win with a well taken goal by teenage sensation Mohammed Kudus with a thunderbolt into the roof of the net.

Ghana will travel to play minnows São Tomé and Príncipe on Sunday.
