The President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) Mr Ben Nunoo Mensah presents an amount of $8,000 to the President of GFA Mr Kurt Okraku on behalf of the Black Meteors Team ahead of U-23 AFCON tournament in Egypt.

Presenting the cheque Mr Ben Nunoo Mensah urged the Ghana Football Association to use the money to fund only activities related to the Black Meteors team.

The 8,000 dollar fund is a collaborative initiative of the Ghana Olympic committee, and the Association of National Olympic committees of Africa (ANOCA).

Ghana will open the tournament with a match against Cameroon on the opening day before facing host nation Egypt three days later before playing Mali 14th November.

The Black Meteor will hope to be a part of the first three nations that will qualify for the Olympic games in Tokyo 2020.

Ghana will  depart for Egypt later this evening where the tournament starts on Friday 8th November- 22nd November 2019.
