A group of New Patriotic Party loyalists have gathered at the residence of party flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo jubilating and singing praises.

Despite the official results of the elections having not been declared by the Electoral Commission, the main opposition New Patriotic Party believe they have won the elections.

Earlier, presidential candidates contesting parties including candidates of the People's National Convention(PNC), National Democratic Congress(NDP), Convention Peoples' Party(CPP), Independent Candidate Joy Osei Yeboah and the Progressive People's Party(PPP) had come out to concede defeat to the NPP.

Prior to that, NPP through their campaign manager Peter Mac Manu had challenged President John Mahama to concede defeat to the NPP.

As it stands provisionally, 188 out of 275 constituencies show that the NPP has 54.05% of the vote while the NDC has 44.26%.
