Jeremy Doku, the talented winger from Manchester City and Belgium, has expressed his deep affection for the country of his parents, Ghana.

Despite opting to play for the country of his birth, Doku proudly identifies as Ghanaian and has conveyed his love for Ghana.

The speedy winger, known for his exploits with Manchester City and the Belgian national team, revealed that he anticipates visiting Ghana soon.

Doku mentioned that he has been to Ghana only once, unlike his parents, who frequently return to the West African country.

He expressed his enthusiasm for experiencing Ghana's culture again, citing his appreciation for the dance, language (specifically mentioning Twi), and music.

In an interview with Supers, Doku stated, "Yeah, of course, I’m Ghanaian because my parents are Ghanaians. I also speak Twi because it is the language of Ghana. So I have been there once, I have to go back again, as it is a long time ago.

Yeah, of course, I like Ghana, I like the way they dance, the way they talk, the music. So of course, my parents go often back, but I haven't gone back yet, so I have to go."

Despite being born in Belgium, Jeremy Doku has embraced his Ghanaian heritage.

His standout performances for Manchester City, including a £60 million move from Stade Rennes, have solidified his status as a rising star in European football.

Doku has showcased his prowess by scoring four goals and providing six assists in 19 matches across various competitions.

While representing Belgium on the international stage, Doku remains connected to his Ghanaian roots, and his expressed desire to revisit the country reflects a strong sense of cultural affinity.
