Argentina soccer star Diego Maradona got into a scuffle with former midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron at Rome's Olympic Stadium as Pope Francis watched a charity and “peace” match.

The “United for Peace” charity event was played in aid of the educational and social initiatives promoted by the Pontifical Foundation ‘Scholas Occurrentes’ yesterday.

The Foundation is an international project based in Argentina that brings together schools and educational networks from different cultures and religious backgrounds.

Maradona, 55, was seen joking around with Veron on the pitch but as they came off the field, Maradona wagged his finger said, “I don't need to talk with you.” Maradona needed to be held back by security guards before they entered the locker room.
