Asante Kotoko coach Mariano Barreto has sent words of congratulations to some thugs who thronged the team's hotel when they were having lunch on Sunday afternoon prior to their 5-4 penalty loss to Berekum Chelsea.

He says the so called supporters who threatened the team and also insulted them during lunch time traumatizing them are now happy.

Speaking during the post game interview Barreto confirmed that his players wanted to boycott the game but it took persuasions to play the game.

"I think some people who suppose to be Kotoko supporters today will be happy because they come to our lunch time threatening, insulting our players during lunch time"

"Most of our player did not want to play they only played because we asked them to play so I think for these guys they are happy as they got what they wanted so congratulations to them"

"For the real supporters they should not be ashamed of these boys most of them came from second division" Barreto said in his post-match speech.

''I have told the management to investigate and punish those supporters who did that.''

Kotoko have ended the season trophy-less after they failed to win the Ghana Premier League and were also knocked out of the MTN FA Cup semi-finals by Berekum Chelsea on Sunday.
