Ghanaian centerback Mohammed Salisu has began training with his new team Southampton as they gear up for the Premier League opening weekend against Crystal Palace.

The Ghanaian defender joined the Englisg Premier League side this summer for 10 million pounds from La Liga side Real Valladolid.

Per COVID-19 traveling restrictions in place in the UK any traveling entering the UK from high risk countries needed to self quarantine for at least 14 days.

And having joined from Spain, Salisu was in quarantine and just completed but due to the International games in Europe most of his teammates are away with their national teams.

The 21 year old is highly rated after a stellar season in the Spanish La Liga for Real Valladolid.

Salisu made 31 appearances for Real Valladolid last season, helping his side finish 13th, with the La Liga’s 7th best defense.

He will wear the number 22 jersey at his new club for the 2020/2021 season.
