Supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) angrily attacked a presidential staffer, Stan Dogbe, at the State House on Thursday, accusing him of contributing to the defeat of President John Mahama in the December 2016 election.

The angry party supporters hurled insults at Stan Dogbe, who was holed up in his car, describing him as "very wicked".

"God will punish you," they added.

Security officials had to intervene to prevent the irate crowd from physically attacking Stan Dogbe.

The presidential staffer was leaving the State House after attending Mahama's final State of the Nation Address (SONA) when the irate supporters set upon him and unleashed verbal venom on him.
