Ghana winger Osman Bukari was on target for his Serbian side Red Star Belgrade in their 3-1 UEFA Champions League defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night.

The explosive winger opened the scores on the stroke of halftime as he raced almost from the halfway line to score.

Osman Bukari raced clean through on goal to score for Red Star Belgrade as he was played through by Mirko Ivanic, before blasting past the onrushing Ederson in goal for Man  City.

The goal was originally ruled out for offside, but then given and, somehow, the European champions went into the break a goal behind.

An own goal  from  Glazer and  two  second  half  goals from  Rodria and  Julia  Alavrez  gave  Man  City   the  win.

The 24-year-old  speedster has been in fine form for his Serbian side at the start of the  2023/24  season in the Serbian Superliga.

He has scored three goals and provided two assists for his side in seven matches and will be raring to face the European champions.

Bukari was handed a start for Ghana in the last game of the  2023  AFCON qualifiers against Central African Republic where Ghana won 2-1.
