A police officer and a driver on-board a Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) bullion van have been crashed to death.

The vehicle which was traveling from Nkawkaw to Donkokrom in the Affram Plains district collided head-on with a Benz bus with registration number GT 724-F at Adawso -Nkyenenkye.
The accident left other passengers on board the Benz bus sustaining varying degrees of injuries.

Eye witness say the bullion van which had the driver and the police constable, Daniel Marfo on board ignored several warning to reduce speed.

Eye witnesses who rushed to the Atibie Government Hospital where the injured are receiving treatment said the bullion van was on top speed and engaging in Dangerous overtaking.

Two sprinter bus drivers who were overtaken by the van said they had to drive into a bush to save the van from hitting their vehicles.

Dr. Arko Akoto Ampaw the medical superintendent at the Atibie government hospital who confirmed the incident to Adom News’ Kofi Siaw said they are working tirelessly to save the injured.
