Chelsea loan bird Baba Rahman has landed at yet another club in Europe just that this time its closer to his parent club Chelsea as he drops into the English championship with Reading.

The Ghanaian left back since joining the Blues from Augsburg in 2015 has been on four different loan spells across Europe with his last one being with Greek side PAOK Salonika last season.

He has played for clubs in Spain, France, Germany with his Reading move being the first spell in England since joining Chelsea.

The former Asante Kotoko defender has spoken for the first time since joining the struggling championship side.

“I’ve known Reading over the years, it’s a big club with great history. When I spoke with the manager, I just got interested in the project!”

After signing a five-year deal with Chelsea, Baba spent the 2015-16 campaign with the Blues, making 15 Premier League outings for the side.

His limited game time forced him out on loan to Schalke 04 the following season, leading to subsequent spells away with Ligue 1 fold Stade Reims, La Liga side Real Mallorca and most recently Greek club PAOK, where he spent the second half of last season.
