Ghanaian boxer Richard Commey was heavily knocked out by 22 year old Mexican boxer Teofimo Lopez last night at the Maddison Square Gardens.

Teofimo Lopez defeated Richard Commey by 2nd-round TKO to win the IBF lightweight title. With the win Lopez, 22, becomes the 5th-youngest boxer to win a lightweight world championship in the past 35 years

Teofimo Lopez landed 31 of 35 power shots in Round 2 to defeat Richard Commey and win the IBF title

Lopez floored Commey with a straight right hand to the jaw in round two. Stunned Commey beat the count, but Lopez jumped all over him and got the referee’s stoppage with a brutal follow-up punches.
