VIDEO: US hurdler Chris Robinson win 400m hurdles despite private parts popping out of his pants

American hurdler Chris Robinson powered through an unexpected wardrobe malfunction to win the 400m hurdles at the Ostrava Golden Spike meeting in the Czech Republic on Tuesday, clocking an impressive 48.05 seconds.

The 24-year-old endured an embarrassing moment during the race as his shorts slipped, unintentionally exposing him mid-race.

Despite multiple attempts to adjust his gear while running at top speed, Robinson ultimately chose to push through the awkward situation, focusing solely on winning.

He did just that, edging Brazilian Matheus Lima by a mere 0.06 seconds, while Czech athlete Vit Muller finished third in 48.41 seconds at the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold event.

Robinson, a native of Tallahassee, Florida, celebrated his season-best performance with a grin on the track, despite colliding with the final hurdle and tumbling into a somersault after the finish.

His time was just 0.10 seconds shy of his personal best.

A decorated collegiate athlete, Robinson is the 2023 U.S. national champion in the event and earned first-team All-American and first-team All-SEC honors.

He began his college journey at Louisiana Tech, moved to South Plains College in Texas, and completed his athletic development at the University of Alabama.

While the race didn’t go as planned in terms of wardrobe, Robinson’s composure and competitive spirit earned him the win — and applause for handling the situation with remarkable focus and good humor.
