Emmanuel Keyekeh opened his goalscoring account for Kumaasi Asante Kotoko with a sumptous free kick in the MTN FA Cup Round of 64 clash with BYFA in Bekwai on Wednesday.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko beat lower tier side Bekwai Youth Academy 2-0 at the Gyamfi Park in Bekwai in the MTN FA Cup round of 64 tie.

Kotoko carried the game to the home side with Brazilian play maker Fabio Gama causing a lot of troubles to the BYFA back line but they stood very resolute.

The porcupine warriors thought they had scored in the 7th minute of the game after a short corner routine with Patrick Asmah's cross headed home by Wahab Adams but the referee whistled for offside.

Both side were unable to score as the game ended 0-0 in the first half with none of the two sides able to score.

Five minutes after the restart Kotoko were awarded a penalty after Christopher Nettey was pushed in the penalty box, up stepped Fabio Gama who tucked the penalty home to give Kotoko a 1-0 lead.

In the 60th minute Kotoko made sure of the results after Patrick Asmah was fouled about 20 yards from the BYFA Penalty box, Emmanuel Keyekeh lined up the free kick and sent a curler beyond the BYFA wall to make it 2-0.
