Accra Hearts of Oak made it back to back MTN FA Cup finals appearance as they defeated Dreams FC in the semi finals.
The phobians had to do it the hard way as they came from a goal down to record a 3-2 win over Dreams FC on Saturday afternoon.
Dreams FC started the game on the front foot and were rewarded for their blistering start as Sylvester Simba let fly from his left foot in the 3rd minute for the opener.
He stole the ball from Ansah Botchway who gave possession away needlessly and was punished for his error.
Samuel Boadu's side regained their composure and easily pulled parity six minutes after conceding to make it 1-1.
Forgotten Hearts of Oak man Benjamin Yorke who joined from Samartex amidst much fanfare but has rarely been used reminded everyone of his talents as he scored the leveler for Hearts after connecting with a cross from Afriyie Barnieh.
There was nothing to separate both sides as the match ended 1-1 in the first half.
Hearts came out the better of the two sides after recess as just a minute after the game began Daniel Afriyie Barnieh gave Hearts the lead for the first time in the game to make it 2-1.
Issah Ibrahim took an early shower after he was shown the exit for a savage tackle on Mohammed Alhassan in the 58th minute of the game.
Suraj Seidu added the third goal of for Hearts in the 65th minute to make it 3-1.
Despite being a man down Dreams FC reduced the score line to 3-2 after substitute Kwaku Karikari scored the second goal for Dreams FC in the 77th minute after a blooper from Hearts goalie Richmond Ayi.
The phobians awaits the winner of the other semi final game between Bchem United and Aduana Stars at the Golden City Park on Sunday.
The finals of the MTN FA Cup will take place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on May 29.
