A video has emerged of how irate supporters of Ghana Premier League side Bofoakwa Tano stormed onto the pitch last Sunday after their 0-0 drawn game against Nsoatreman FC and assaulted coach Maxwell Konadu, some players and match officials.

The Police were helpless as a huge mass of supporters poured onto the pitch to unleash mayhem on whoever they could lay hands on.

The Ghana Police Service has since announced that they have initiated a search for the perpetrators involved in the violent assault on the head coach of Nsoatreman FC and match officials during a Premier League game at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Sunday.

The disturbing incident unfolded after the match concluded in a 0-0 draw.

Following the goalless draw at the Sunyani Coronation Park, Bofoakwa Tano supporters stormed the pitch, launching a vicious attack on match officials, players, and Coach Maxwell Konadu of Nsoatreman FC.

The severity of the assault prompted Coach Konadu's immediate hospitalization for medical attention.

Fortunately, he has since been treated, discharged, and is now en route with the team to Nsoatre.

The Ghana Football Association and relevant authorities are poised to launch an investigation into the incident, with potential actions contemplated against those responsible for the violence.

This regrettable episode underscores the urgency for heightened security measures and fan education to prevent such occurrences during football matches.

Acknowledging the gravity of the situation, the Ghana Police Service has confirmed its commitment to apprehending the perpetrators, signaling a determined manhunt for those involved.

Bofoakwa Tano's recent struggles on the field, with no victories in their last eight matches, mark a stark contrast to their promising start to the season.

The reality of the team's current situation is setting in after a bright initial performance.

The developments surrounding this incident emphasize the broader need for vigilance in maintaining safety and order in football events.

Since the incident the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has condemned the attacks while the Sunyani Coronation Park has been banned with immediate effect as the home venue for Bofoakwa Tano in their subsequent matches.
