Second half substitute Kwabena Owusu was the star of the show as he climbed off the bench to power the Black Meteors to the semi-finals of the Afcon U-23 tournament when all seemed lost going into the game.

Ghana needed to win their last match against Mali and hope for win from Egypt over Cameroon before victory could be assured and it duly panned out perfectly for the national U-23 side.

Kwabena Owusu first headed across the goal keeper to give Ghana the lead after a fine cross from the right full back Kingsley Fobi.

The villain in Ghana's encounter against Cameroon was the star of the night as he rolled past the goal keeper his second after beating the Cameroonian defence to a long ball.

Ghana will know their opponents in the semi finals on Friday.
