Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Maxwell Konadu believes his side will be ready for their opening Ghana Premier League game against Techiman Eleven Wonders on the opening day of the 2020/2021 league season.

According to the Kotoko gaffer staying home for that long has negatively affected the boys but they are working to get them ready for the league.

"The players have not been talking about the league fixtures at all, its a league that we are coming to start and its not the first time we are playing in the league so its nothing special"

Speaking after the team's Friday training session, coach recounted that training was a bit difficult since the team had been home for nearly six months but they are now coping very well.

"It was difficult at the initial stages because we had been home for a long time but gradually we are coping "

Asked whether he would need eight weeks of pre-season before his team can get into top shape he said.

"Now the fixtures are out and we can only try and squeeze in some training sessions so as to get the team ready for the league"

" As you can see that is why we have been doing three training sessions each day to try and push the boys a bit to get in good shape"
