Ghanaian international Gideon Mensah has taken a beautiful new step in his life, marrying his longtime sweetheart Vicentia in a heartwarming traditional wedding held on Friday, June 27, 2025, in Accra.
The ceremony was filled with love, laughter, and joy as the couple, surrounded by family and close friends, exchanged vows and blessings in a colourful celebration rich with Ghanaian tradition.
The radiant bride and dashing groom beamed with happiness as they officially began their journey as husband and wife.
Gideon, known for his grit and composure on the pitch, showed his softer side as he proudly stood by the love of his life. It was a rare glimpse of the man behind the footballer — not the left-back marking wingers, but the partner, friend, and now husband.
Currently enjoying a well-earned break after a strong season with Auxerre, the defender plans to whisk his new bride away to Europe for a honeymoon before returning to France for pre-season.
Gideon was part of the Black Stars squad for the recent Unity Cup matches in London, serving as Jordan Ayew’s deputy and continuing his influential role with the national team.
Since making his debut in 2019, he has represented Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup, winning hearts with his consistency and commitment.
