Vision FC secures historic victory over Accra Lions at Accra Sports Stadium

Vision FC claimed a memorable win in the Ghana Premier League, defeating Accra Lions 2-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, September 16, 2024.
Goals from Elijah Addai and Emmanuel Kyei Baffour, scored at the end of each half, sealed the three points for the visitors.
Accra Lions began the match brightly, dominating possession in the first half but failing to capitalize on their chances.
Striker Lucky Nwafor came close twice in the early stages, while Musa Hamzata forced a save from Vision FC goalkeeper Michael Abraham with a long-range effort.
Vision FC's breakthrough came moments later when Issah Kuka, a former Hearts of Oak player, delivered a perfectly placed Crossfield pass to Elijah Addai.
The ex-Bofoakwa Tano winger controlled the ball skillfully before lofting it over Lions' goalkeeper Kwame Bonsu, giving Vision FC a 1-0 lead just before halftime.
After the break, Accra Lions pressed for an equalizer, with Salman Faris and Lucky Nwafor coming close.
Full-back Apiiga's crosses from the left also posed a constant threat, but Vision FC's defense stood firm, repelling every attack.
In the closing moments of the match, Vision FC struck again. Elijah Addai burst into the Lions' box, setting up Emmanuel Kyei Baffour, whose initial shot was saved.
However, Kyei reacted quickly to slot home the rebound, sealing a 2-0 victory for Vision FC.
