National Vice Chairman for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Saeed Sinare has pledged he will work to unseat president Akufo-Addo in the next elections when voted to be the 1st Vice Chairman of the NDC.

Speaking to Mugabe Maase on Inside Politics on Radio XYZ 93.1, Alhaji Sinare who is Ghana’s immediate past Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia noted that over the years he has diligently served the party at different levels and gained so much experience to help boot the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) government out of power in the 2020 elections.

“I am the longest serving national executive of our party, having served our people for the past 12 years,” he said.

Alhaji Sinare who was Ghana’s Ambassador to Egypt said it was time for competent people like him to lead the party and steer it into victory in 2020.

He said President Nana Akufo-Addo could be made a one-time president if he is given the nod to occupy that crucial office, stressing that he will make sure the grassroots of the party is given the necessary attention towards the strengthening of NDC.

He, therefore, vowed to work even harder to ensure NDC reclaims power in 2020, taking into consideration the experience he has gained through various leadership roles he has played for the umbrella family.

Prior to the 2016 elections, Alhaji Sinare set up ‘Zongo for NDC’, a campaign that fiercely prosecuted NDC’s agenda and won a lot of votes for former President Mahama and the NDC. He toured the length and breadth of the country and ensured that the Muslim communities understood the policies of the then NDC government.

Campaign

Alhaji Sinare who is one of the most respected figures in the NDC has toured the country, projecting his vision for the party. He has also been hailed by majority of the delegates for his competence and principles.

Most party activists have hailed him on social media, describing him as a philanthropist whose doors are opened to all party members for assistance.

There are more than 5 bigwigs contesting the Vice Chairmanship position with him.

They include former NDC MP for Madina, Alhaji Amadu Bukari Sorogho; Lawyer Adu- Yeboah, former Central Regional Chairman; Sherry Ayittey, former Minister for Fisheries; Yaw Owusu Obimpeh, former Ashanti Regional Chairman and Alhaji Sumaila Maha.

Among them, Alhaji Sinare has been tipped by many to grab the 1st vice chairmanship position.

A deputy Deputy National Organiser of the Party, Joshua Akamba believes Ambassador Senari is the right person to occupy the position.

Akamba, who was speaking on Inside Politics on Friday, appealed to the delegates to vote Alhaji Saeed Sinare, saying his vote means victory for the NDC in 2020.

“Alhaji Sinare is a gift to the NDC. He is competent and has the wisdom to lead the party. He has a vision for the party. Nobody should make a mistake… they should vote for Alhaji Sinare,” he said and asked the delegates to vote for him (Akamba) as a National Organiser of the party.
