You just brought a really cute and cuddly puppy home. And now you're going to think about how to train the furry little munchkin at home. Well, a few things could come in handy as a new dog parent for you and puppy training can get a tad bit easy too.

- Get rid of all the chances of accidents: In the earlier days with your new puppy, you should be wanting to avoid the chances for any kind of accident. Also, try to take your puppy out every 30 minutes because they pass food and water extremely quickly. Each time you go out, make sure you go to the same spot, use a word that you want to attach to the idea of "going".

- Get the puppy on a schedule: Everyone needs a schedule and puppies do too. Feed the puppy at the same time each day, take him out for a walk within 15-20 minutes of eating. Don't try to change the schedule early on. Your puppy needs to get into the groove eventually.

- Confine your puppy when you are unavailable to supervise: Little putties need eyes on them all the time. When you aren't around, your puppy might wander around and get itself in trouble. You can use a crate which sizes perfect for your puppy in situations like these. So when you aren't available to supervise, your puppy won't fall in trouble. Make sure you don't leave the puppy in the crate for more than four hours at a time.

- Clean: Your puppy will make mistakes in the beginning and it's inevitable. Don't stop them from making mistakes but learn to clean the affected areas thoroughly. Regular household cleaners won't do the trick. You'll need an enzymatic cleaner or something that is specifically designed to remove all stains and smells of urine and feces.

- Reward your puppy for good behaviour: When your puppy makes mistakes, avoid punishing them. But when they behave good, make sure you reward them each time. Only try and correct your puppy when you actually catch him in the act. Make them understand the words "Yes" and "No" very clearly. This will help them behave.
