President Nana Akufo-Addo has assured the international community that the focus of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government is to create the “most business-friendly economy” in Africa.

In a speech on Monday, 26 March 2018, at the 6th Edition of the Africa CEO Forum, held in Cote d'Ivoire, Mr Akufo-Addo disclosed that “government is keen on building, in Ghana, the most business-friendly economy, where security and the rule of law are upheld, and where investments are secure”.

He explained that several interventions has been implemented to realise this objective including reduction in Monetary Police Rate (MPR), tax cuts and the implantation of programmes that will boost more economic activities.

The Forum brought together African CEOs, bankers, investors and African Presidents to dialogue and map out strategies to improve trade and investment on the continent.
