Captain of the Ghana Black Stars team, Jordan Ayew, has expressed confidence in the team’s preparedness ahead of crucial international friendlies against the Austria national football team and the Germany national football team.

‎The fixtures form part of Ghana’s build-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with the Black Stars set to face Austria on 27 March at the Ernst Happel Stadium before travelling to Stuttgart to take on Germany three days later.

‎Speaking at a pre-match press conference, the Leicester City forward acknowledged the strength of the opposition but insisted Ghana are well prepared for the challenge.

‎Ayew noted that while both matches will be demanding, the squad is focused on delivering strong performances.

‎He added that preparations have been comprehensive, covering tactical, technical and physical aspects, leaving the team in a positive position heading into the Austria clash.

‎Despite his confidence, the 32-year-old struck a cautious tone, avoiding bold predictions and emphasising a game-by-game approach.

‎The Black Stars will first turn their attention to Austria before shifting focus to Germany, as they continue fine-tuning their squad ahead of football’s biggest stage.
