Gospel musician Piesie Esther has clarified that the viral video of Serwaa Amihere's alleged arrest did not originate from their camp.

In an interview on Angel FM, the renowned singer stated that they have no idea who leaked parts of the music video to the public.

She emphasised that the video was not intended to seek publicity and expressed uncertainty about how it was posted online.

"I saw the video in public, and I don't know who did that because it was not from our camp. It is part of the work, so we have got to understand how these things work, so I wasn't bothered when I saw the video," she said.

On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, rumours about Serwaa Amihere's alleged arrest spread on social media, accompanied by a video capturing the broadcaster in handcuffs.

This development sparked massive reactions on social media, prompting the Ghana Police Service to issue a statement debunking the claims.

The police clarified that the circulating visuals were actually from a music video shoot.

Subsequently, Piesie Esther released visuals from her new single that featured Serwaa Amihere and the police acting out an arrest scene.
