Two Ghanaian clubs over the weekend crushed out of African Inter-club competitions.

First on Saturday evening Ashantigold sucumbed to a two nil drabbing against Moroccan side RS Berkane resulting in their elimination from the Caf Confederations Cup competition.

Then on Sunday Asante Kotoko who many had high hopes for due their healthy two nil lead in the first leg tamely surrendered to Tunisian side Etoile Sportive Du Sahel losing 3 nil in the process even with a man advantage for 12 minutes.

The inquest has bagan as always and former Hearts of Oak, Ifeanyi Ubah trainer Yaw Preko says that these North African sides do very well in these competitions because of their long term preparations compared to the ad-hoc team building most of our sides do.

"For you to beat them you have to be very very consistent, you can't just build a team and think that you can be able to beat them.

"If you team is not well built over a period you will struggle to beat them and we know that there is no proper team building here and we don't even have any playing philosophy."

"But they believe in philosphy and also beleive in themselves because when they come here and you beat them one or two they know they will eliminate you at home"

"Lastly they always intimidate us at home because when facing them you know they are guaranteed a penalty, red card and a whole lot"

"When you are going to face them you will have to prepare and prepare very well not any shallow one" he added.
