When you are unable to support your family, it can be extremely traumatic.

A middle-aged man fathering quadruplet babies, has opened up about his inability to provide for his family, and therefore looking for employment opportunities to improve his financial situation.

He disclosed sadly in an interview on TalkLife TV that occasionally, he and his wife go to sleep without eating any food.

The father, who goes by the name Akwasi Addai, revealed that his lifelong goal was to have four children, but since he already had two children before the quadruplets, he now has a total of six.

He disclosed that he is an electrician by profession but lost his job even before his wife delivered. He claimed that as a result, his family has experienced difficulty.

He said when his wife, Tina, gave birth to quadruplets, she was compelled to cease working as a hairdresser in order to take care for them.

He said that although he and his wife are doing their best in taking care of the children, he has realized that in light of the current financial situation, looking after quadruplets all alone is not an easy task.

Akwasi disclosed that when a scan results indicated that his wife was carrying multiple pregnancy, the notion of having even 3 children caused him some anxiety.

"It's not easy. When the scan revealed that my wife was expecting triplets, I was terrified because I had just lost my work as an electrician. The notion of having 3 children at once made me nervous, but eventually after the delivered, it came out out that they were actually 4," he told Nana Yaa Konadu.

Asked how he manages to provide for the home in the current economic circumstances, he said he relies on his friends who invite him to join them when they lay hands on jobs.

When asked how he makes ends meet in the current economic climate, he responded that he relies on his friends, who invite him to join them when they land jobs.

"Some of my friends have helped me a lot, when they acquire jobs, they welcome me to join them, otherwise I couldn't take care of them. Things are difficult for us, even sometimes, when I go to work and return home empty-handed," he said.

He continued, "Now our biggest challenge is their feeding, sometimes even my wife and I don't eat before going to bed. Once we get what the kids will eat, that alone makes us happy."

The wife added, that, her breast milk is insufficient to sustain the kids, so she supports it with baby cereal meals, but since they are financially unstable, they find difficulties in purchasing such baby foods.

"I provide them with breast milk and cerelac, but since they are four, they eat two containers in a single day. When I open one can in the morning, they finish everything," she revealed.
