The Ministry of Interior has declared Wednesday, September 21 a public holiday to mark this year’s Founder’s Day.
Founder’s day is a day statutorily set aside to observe the birthday of Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. A statement signed by the Minister of Interior, Prosper Bani said the day must be observed as a statutory holiday.
Founder’s day was instituted as an annual public holiday in 2013 to commemorate the birthday of Ghana’s first president, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
